Are video thumbnails supported?

Learn about video thumbnail support on Horizon.

When uploading videos meeting the following requirements, Horizon will automatically process the video to extract a thumbnail for preview within the dashboard.

• File mime type is video/mp4.
• File moov atom is at the beginning.
• Video dimensions are greater than 0x0.

Thumbnails will not be generated for encrypted uploads due to privacy restrictions.

For your privacy, Horizon generates these thumbnails first-party, meaning your file contents do not leave Horizon's servers. Only the first megabyte of the video file will be analyzed.
