How do I configure Dropshare?

Learn how to configure Horizon as your Dropshare provider on macOS and iOS.

Horizon has partnered with the developer of Dropshare, a paid screenshot, screen recording and file uploader for macOS and iOS devices, for first-class integration.

As a result of this partnership, Horizon users are eligible for a 13% discount on their purchase of Dropshare.

Installing Dropshare

  1. Navigate to the "Settings" page in the dashboard navigation bar.
  2. Scroll down to "App Configuration".
  3. Select "Dropshare" in the dropdown menu.
  4. Click the "Buy Dropshare" button.
  5. You will be redirected to Dropshare's pricing page with the exclusive Horizon user discount automatically applied.

  6. Continue with the purchase of Dropshare.
  7. In the top right, click the "Download" button.
  8. Select the platform you want to use Dropshare on.
  9. Install the application.
  10. On macOS, the download will be a zip file. Simply double click it to extract, and move the Dropshare app to your Applications folder in the Finder sidebar.

    On iOS, download the app from the App Store.

  11. Open Dropshare.
  12. Agree to the end-user license agreement.

Configuring Horizon as your Dropshare provider

macOS

  1. Click the Dropshare icon in the top menu bar.
  2. Click the settings cog icon in the top right of the popup menu.
  3. If you already have at least one connection, click "Preferences", "Connections", then "Add Connection...".
  4. In the providers list window, select "Horizon".
  5. Navigate to the "Settings" page in the dashboard navigation bar.
  6. Scroll down to "App Configuration".
  7. Select "Dropshare" in the dropdown menu.
  8. Click "Get Upload Secret".
  9. In the dialog, click "Copy".
  10. Make sure to keep this secret private. Do not share it or you may compromise your account security.

  11. Paste the upload secret to the credentials screen in Dropshare.
  12. Click "Test Connection".
