How do I enable self-destruct?

Learn how to enable ephemerality for your file uploads.

Self-destruct automatically deletes your Horizon uploads after a specified period of time. This feature can be helpful if you want to ensure that your uploads are not stored indefinitely.

1. Visit Horizon Settings in the Dashboard.
2. Navigate to "Security & Privacy".
3. Under "Self-Destruct", select the period of time you want your new uploads to stick around for.

This option will only apply to new uploads. Once self-destructed, files are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

4. Click "Save Changes" to apply your new settings.
