Who runs Horizon?

Learn about the team behind Horizon.

Horizon is a fully independent project created with love over hundreds of hours. There are no greedy tech corporations, no venture capital funding, no ads, and no tracking. We are eternally grateful to everyone who has contributed to our vision through the legacy Horizon Basic Paid plan and the current Everest plan.

Horizon has undergone several redesigns and iterations. With each one, we applied our previous learnings and made significant improvements to create a better product.

My name is http.james, and I am the founder and primary maintainer of Horizon. Rens is the assistant designer who has helped spring Horizon to life through sophisticated animations and has contributed to several designs. Stevenruidigao has provided consultation on various security and privacy aspects of the product.

Horizon first came online around mid-2021.
